will fit your schedule.  If not, we offer 1-on-1 courses.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) 

Participants will learn how to recognize infants and children at riskof deterioration and review strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients.  Additionally, participants will learn to stabilize pediatric patients in respiratory failure and shock.  Course consists of basic and advanced airway management, basic EKG interpretation, drug therapy and electrical therapy.  Includes either the PALS guide/manual or ECC handbook, whichever will be a better resource for the participant.  This class involves scenarios using a supportive, team approach which minimizes stress greatly.

Intended Audience:  nurses (ER and pediatric areas), Emergency Physicians, paramedics, pediatricians, physician assistants, anesthesia, pediatric dentists.

Course length:  5-8 hours (dependant on whether you're initial/expired or current and the number and experience of participants

Card type:  Successful completion card valid for two years

Written/Skills Exam:
  Written required with score of at least 84%
